Conference Awards
At the conclusion of each conference we honor some of the best presentations with a conference award.  The award categories encompass all aspects of behavior management.  All but two categories are voted on by a select group of secret judges.  We encourage you to submit an abstract for a presentation or poster at an upcoming ABMA conference!

Behavior Management Achievement Award-  Recognizes an outstanding achievement in the application of behavior management techniques.

Behavior Management Innovation Award-  Recognizes outstanding application of novel, unusual or original behavior management technique.

Animal Welfare Advances Award-  Recognizes outstanding achievements that enhance animal welfare through specific environmental enrichment/conditioning techniques or programs.

The Gary Wilson Sharing the Knowledge Award-  Recognizes outstanding achievements in behavioral management education to enhance the knowledge of professionals and/or the public to the benefit of animals in human care.

Poster Presentation Award-  Recognizes the poster that best represents an achievement in any of the above categories in this format.

Publications Award-  This award is granted to an article written for Engage, the newsletter of the ABMA.  The article must not have been published previously and can be on any behavior management topic.  This award is voted upon by the board of directors.

Impact Award-  This award is granted to the person(s), presentation, or conference event/activity that a weekly conference attendee feels is deserving of special recognition.   This is a special ballot given out after the last presentation.
